Practical & General Questions
-
Sessions take place at my clinic space - 1710 Richmond Avenue, Victoria, BC - on Thursdays and Fridays by appointment. This is a calm, private space designed to support a genuinely restorative experience from the moment youarrive. You can book online through the website, or get in touch directly, if you would like to talk it through first. You can also book a free 15-minute consultation through the website.
Home visits may also be available in greater Victoria on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 10am and 2pm. These need to be booked directly with me. See below for more answers about mobile sessions.
-
Wear comfortable clothing - ideally something that allows access to the neck and chest. You don't need to remove jewellery, though it is helpful if you can. Avoid heavy makeup or strong exfoliation on the day.
This is not the treatment to choose if you have dinner plans immediately after. Your skin will be glowing and your hair may have had its own experience. Allow yourself a quiet afternoon if you can.
-
No special aftercare is needed, but I recommend to drink plenty of water to support the body's natural processes. I also recommend taking the rest of the day easy, if possible, to allow the effects to settle in fully.
-
Yes. That said, many clients enjoy letting their skin breathe for the rest of the day, particularly after Zone Face Lift, where the natural luminosity is quite something.
-
Yes. Treatment is not appropriate when you have an infectious or inflammatory illness, an active deep vein thrombosis, a cold sore or other spreadable skin infection, an eye infection or irritation, any swelling or active inflammation, or serious skin or scalp conditions.
Please also wait at least three weeks after botox or filler, and three months after facial surgery, before coming in. If you are unsure whether something applies to you, please get in touch before booking to discuss your specific circumstances.
-
Please let me know before your session. Neck conditions, injuries and certain allergies (including nut allergies and sensitivity to facial products) are all important to be aware of so that I can adapt the treatment safely for you, but do not necessarily prevent a treatment.
-
Yes, any six- or twelve-week series can be paid in instalments. Please contact me directly to arrange.
-
Some extended health plans now cover reflexology, and coverage varies by provider and plan. Please check your plan's details. More information is available on the insurance coverage page of the website.
-
Yes, gift vouchers are available and make a genuinely thoughtful present, particularly for someone navigating a stressful period, a hormonal transition or who simply deserves an hour or two entirely for themselves.
-
Please give as much notice as possible, at minimum 24 hours, if you need to reschedule or cancel. The full terms and conditions can be found in the booking terms or you’re welcome to contact me directly.
-
Yes, I offer mobile sessions within the greater Victoria area on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 10am and 2pm by appointment. These are not available to book online - please get in touch directly.
A flat convenience fee of $25 applies to all home visits, in addition to the session fee. It reflects the travel time and effort of bringing the full experience to you - everything you would receive at the clinic, in the comfort of your own home.
-
Nothing at all. I bring everything needed to create the full experience in your home, from towels and pillows to relaxing music. For facial reflexology, and foot and hand treatments, I use a zero gravity reclining chair, which is extremely comfortable. Zone Face Lift is best carried out on a massage table, which I also bring.
All you need is enough space to set up (roughly the size of a single bed area), access to a plug socket and to be undisturbed for the duration. Then simply lie down and relax.
-
The $25 convenience fee reflects the travel time and effort of bringing everything needed to create the full experience at your door. It is a flat rate across greater Victoria - no tiers, no distance calculations.
If you are unsure whether your location falls within the area, please get in touch and I will let you know.
-
Possibly. While this is not a standard offering, I am happy to discuss it. Whether it is a wellness day, a private party or a workplace wellbeing session, get in touch directly and we can talk through what might work. Pricing for events is arranged individually.
Facial Reflexology
-
Just as foot reflexology maps the entire body onto the feet, the face holds a detailed reflex map of all bodily systems. Working with gentle, precise pressure on these points stimulates the body's own healing response via the dense network of blood vessels and cranial nerves close to the skin's surface.
The result is a deeply soothing, regulatory effect. Similar in principle to acupuncture, facial reflexology is entirely hands-on and needle-free. The continuous, attentive touch throughout the session creates its own distinctive quality of relaxation, one that many clients find deeply settling for the nervous system.
-
Each session begins with a short consultation, followed by a customised treatment using a hot towel cleanse and 100% natural, organic products. Time at the end is unhurried and you're never rushed back to the world.
You remain fully clothed throughout. Comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the neck and chest area is helpful, though not essential.
-
Facial reflexology can be a valuable support for stress, anxiety and low mood, disrupted sleep, hormonal imbalance, and general nervous system dysregulation. It is also commonly sought for headaches and migraines, bruxism and TMJ tension, sinus congestion, Bell's palsy and facial paralysis, and poor circulation or lymphatic stagnation. Many clients also notice improved skin tone and a natural radiance as a welcome side effect.
It works cumulatively - similar to foot reflexology, regular sessions build on each other and relief tends to deepen over time.
-
No. Facial reflexology is gentle and nurturing throughout. Most clients find the treatment deeply relaxing and many don't stay awake beyond the first few minutes.
-
Facial reflexology is a therapeutic treatment, not a beauty treatment. While a radiant glow is a common side effect, the primary aim is supporting the whole body and nervous system regulation, organ function, and overall balance, rather than skin improvement alone.
If you are looking for visible facial lifting alongside the therapeutic benefits, Zone Face Lift may be worth considering.
-
A single session is a deeply restorative experience in its own right. For ongoing or specific concerns, facial reflexology works cumulatively and the effects build with regular treatment.
You're welcome to begin with a single session and decide as you go. Whether you come once a year, once a month or weekly, you're warmly welcome.
-
Yes, facial reflexology is safe during pregnancy and can be a wonderful support through both the pregnancy and postpartum phase. Please let me know when booking, so the treatment can be tailored appropriately.
-
Not at all. Only clean, 100% natural and non-toxic products are used - vegan, cruelty-free and designed with sensitive skin in mind. Please let me know if you have any sensitivity to essential oils or nut-based ingredients, so I can adapt the treatment.
Zone Face Lift
-
Zone Face Lift is a deep, immersive treatment that builds on facial reflexology. It incorporates advanced sculpting massage, lymphatic drainage, tool work (including gua sha) and energy balancing to produce natural lifting, toning and radiance, alongside the relaxation and whole-body benefits of reflexology.
-
Many clients choose Zone Face Lift precisely for this reason. It works with your face's natural structure, encouraging tone, lift and radiance without injectables, fillers or anything invasive.
Results are natural and cumulative rather than immediate and dramatic. If you are seeking visible change over time while preserving how you actually look, this treatment is designed with you in mind.
-
Yes, we can work around treated areas comfortably - many clients come for Zone Face Lift as they transition away from injectables, others continue alongside. We just need a resting period of at least three weeks after botox or filler procedures, and three months after facial surgery, before we begin.
-
Zone Face Lift is built as a 12-week transformative programme for good reason - it works cumulatively, similar to going to the gym. One session feels good and leaves you glowing, but repeated treatments build lasting tone and what might be thought of as "muscle memory" in the face.
That said, a single session is a genuinely beautiful experience - a reset, a pre-event treat or simply a few hours of deep indulgence.
For those wanting to experience the cumulative effect without committing to the full programme, a 3- or 6-week series is a lovely middle ground. Six- and twelve-week programmes can be paid in instalments - please get in touch directly to arrange.
-
Both treatments share the same therapeutic foundation - facial reflexology - and both support nervous system regulation
and whole-body balance.
Zone Face Lift is longer (105 versus 75 minutes), more immersive and incorporates additional techniques focused on
visible facial change. If whole-body relaxation and therapeutic support are your primary aim, Facial Reflexology is a
beautiful choice. If you’re also seeking natural lifting and toning as part of that, Zone Face Lift is designed for you.
Still not sure which treatment to choose? You can book a free 15-minute consultation and we will work it out together.
Menopausal Reflexology Support
-
A dedicated two-hour treatment combining reflexology techniques across the face, hands and feet - designed specifically for perimenopause, menopause and post-menopause - to support:
• Regulation of the nervous and endocrine systems
• Reducing stress and anxiety
• Supporting sleep patterns
• Encouraging energetic balance
• Easing common menopausal symptoms
-
This treatment is intended for anyone in perimenopause, menopause or post-menopause who is looking for gentle, nonmedical symptom support and nervous system regulation through a holistic approach.
It is also a good fit if you simply want a restorative practice during this life stage - you do not need specific symptoms to benefit.
-
During perimenopause and menopause, the body's hormonal shifts place significant demand on the nervous system, affecting sleep, mood, energy, temperature regulation and much more. This specialised treatment combines techniques from facial, hand and foot reflexology, targeting specific reflex points connected to both the nervous and endocrine systems. This encourages the body to move out of a state of stress and back toward hormonal balance, reducing the intensity and frequency of symptoms rather than suppressing them.
Because the treatment works with the whole body rather than treating individual symptoms in isolation, clients often notice improvements across several areas at once - sleeping better, feeling calmer, experiencing fewer hot flushes and simply feeling more like themselves again.
-
Many clients notice a sense of calm and relaxation after the very first session. Deeper symptom relief tends to unfold over a series of treatments, as the nervous and endocrine systems gradually shift into greater balance.
-
Yes, absolutely. Menopause Reflexology is a complementary therapy that works alongside, not instead of, any medical treatment or hormone therapy your doctor has recommended.
Many clients find it a valuable addition to an existing wellness plan, helping ease what medication does not always reach: the quality of sleep, the sense of calm, the feeling of being at home in your body again.
-
This depends on your symptoms and what you’re hoping to address. Some clients begin with weekly or fortnightly sessions and move to monthly once things feel more settled. Others come monthly from the start as a regular restorative practice.
For those who want to explore the cumulative benefits without jumping straight to the full programme, a 3- or 6-week series offers better value and a gentler entry point. The full 12-week programme is how the treatment was designed - that is where the nervous system shifts tend to become more lasting - and you can move into it progressively, if, and when, it feels right.
There is no pressure, we will figure it out as we go.
-
Menopause reflexology is a gentle, deeply calming treatment and does not tend to produce any discomfort at all. You may simply notice a pleasant sense of pressure and release. On the feet and hands, some points can feel more sensitive but I always work within your comfort and adjust as we go - just let me know.
Unlike some Asian reflexology traditions, I work entirely with my hands rather than tools or sticks, which makes for a much gentler experience overall.
-
Yes. Many women in perimenopause go undiagnosed for years. Research suggests that fewer than a quarter of women who seek medical help are correctly identified. If you are experiencing symptoms such as disrupted sleep, anxiety, fatigue or a sense of not quite feeling like yourself, this treatment may be helpful regardless of a formal diagnosis.
